"This was truly brilliant to watch and learn. The live training sessions were great as there were lots of little idiosyncrasies that I may have been doing which I did not realise. Good examples where the dog searching ground and not rewarding until we position dogs head off the ground. The tug games and keeping tug close to the body. Engaging dogs with food initially and then getting into training. Marking with a start and stop command before moving hands for play or food. The stand still and suddenly move was great too. The list goes on but overall it was great. "

"This course by Michael Ellis was absolutely brilliant. A huge amount of useful knowledge, perfectly delivered and thoroughly explained. Every module brought something valuable, and Ellis’s approach to dog training is truly inspiring. I wouldn’t change a thing – for me, it was perfect!"

"The Three Day Seminar with Michael Ellis - Self Study Course was highly informative, covering topics like relationship building, communication, engagement, motivation, and reinforcement schedules. While all the information was valuable, the modules on reactivity and separation anxiety were particularly helpful.
The course emphasized the importance of foundational work before addressing reactivity and separation anxiety. It highlighted relationship building, properly conditioning markers, and developing a communication system. Motivation was also a key factor in teaching alternative behaviors and counterconditioning. While obedience alone won’t cure reactivity in dogs, it provides essential tools need and can shift a dogs mindset, making them easier to work with."

"Excellent course. Very comprehensive, but not too technical in any one topic. Covered enough of each concept to provide a good general understanding.
Some of the topics I most enjoyed were: learning theory and conditioning, markers and reinforcement, engagement, appropriate use of aversives, black and white vs. grey behaviors, and redirection skills. "
